This Broadway Limited GE ES44AC diesel locomotive is based on the popular4,400 horsepower diesels used across the continent. Between 2002 and 2019,General Electric built over 3,700 of these six-axle, 4400 HP locomotives.Today, they can be found on every Class I railroad in North America. Thismodel has full Paragon4 sound and DCC for realistic sound and motorcontrol. The Paragon4 sound system works with all Broadway Limited RollingThunder(TM) advanced sound systems. Other features include a smooth-runningflywheel-equipped drive, and magnetic knuckle couplers. The GE ES44AC canbe operated on all DCC systems as well as on standard DC railroads (withlimited sound functionality). This model has wheels profiled to operate onCode 70 and larger rail and curves of 18" radius but larger curves arerecommended.
